Having trouble shopping for your wellness bestie? I’ve got you!

In this blog post you’ll find a curated list of gift ideas for your mindful loved one, broken down by price range.

There are some crucial things to think about in order to make sure your gift is intentional…

The first is do they have any allergies or sensitivities to scents, skincare, food, jewelry? This might limit your ability to give some of these gifts freely.

Even if they don’t have allergies to anything, are they more conscious about the ingredients in their products? You don’t want to get a candle from Bath & Body Works or a perfume from Victoria’s Secret if they don’t want to use products with a lot of chemicals.

The more you know your loved one, the easier it’ll be to think of a gift for that would suit them! So keep at them at the forefront of your mind & let’s get into it…

Budget-Friendly

1. A thoughtful card: If your loved one is big on words of affirmation, they might love a written card that pulls at their heart strings. Write about favorite memories of the year and wishes you have for your friendship in the future.

2. A poem: Want your loving words to be a bit more elevated than a card? Put it in a poem! Bonus points if you print and frame it!

3. Food: Offer to host them for their favorite meal, OR bake their favorite sweets & wrap them in a cute box.

Imagine how special you’d feel to receive your favorite cookies!

4. A book: Do they have any favorite authors? Do those authors have any new books coming out? Is there a related field you think they might enjoy? Make this extra special by adding in a sweet note about why you chose that book, or even by writing them a love note to use as a bookmark.

5. A journal or workbook: Do they have a journaling habit, or have they talked about wanting to start one? Gift them a new journal! Similar to what I talked about with the book, sprinkle a little note on the front cover or throughout the journal for them to find. They also might appreciate a workbook like How to Meet Yourself by Dr. Nicole LePera.

6. Dry brush(es): A dry brush is used to exfoliate the skin but more importantly to stimulate the flow of the lymphatic system. There are two primary brushes: one for the face and one for the body. My favorite brand for dry brushes is called Primally Pure. Use this link for $10 off $50 or more.

They seem like a luxury, but they’re so practical (& good for your wallet!).

7. Skincare: Buy them a product you know they like, one they might like to try, or just a gift card from their favorite skincare line. The only three brands I use (because they’re that good!) are Dieux, Primally Pure, & Live Tinted. Note: Be careful with skin allergies if you’re getting them something they haven’t tried before.

8. Candles, incense, or a simmer pot starter: Please note that if you have someone who is cautious with what they have in their home, you might have to be careful with the types of scented items you buy. To prevent this, you could find some fried herbs, spices and fruits and create a simmer pot starter. See this blog post for more information on a simmer pot!

Simmer pots use fresh ingredients to create a beautiful scent!

9. Essential oils &/or a diffuser: Along similar lines, have they been wanting to experiment with essential oils or do they love them already? I buy my oils from a company called Young Living, they are a bit more expensive than ones you’d find at stores like Marshall’s but they are much more potent & last longer!

10. Bala bangles (or other exercise equipment): If they love to exercise, especially low-impact sports like walking or pilates, they might enjoy sets of ankle/wrist weights like these from Bala. You could also just get light hand weights.

Think 2 pounders are nothing? Try getting through a weighted pilates class…

11. Affirmation cards: Is your loved one into positive thinking & affirmations? Get them a deck of affirmation cards. They even have ones you can stick in your shower that I bought for one of my friends during a business launch.

12. Question board game: Do they love deep conversations? Get a question game like We’re Not Really Strangers or this one from Wordaful.

13. Mindful jewelry: Is there a positive word or affirmation that makes you think of them? Do they have a lucky number or an animal they feel drawn to? Find some jewelry that they may like! Last year I bought B & I matching Wear Felicity necklaces that have a photo inside & we looove them.

My Wear Felicity necklace & hummingbird necklace are my two favs!

Medium Ticket

14. Meditation beads: Prayer beads are used in many faith traditions, from Catholicism to Islam, but many people use them to aid in their meditation practice with no religious affiliation. If you’re crafty, you can also try and make these yourself. You could also buy a bolster if they don’t have one yet!

15. Gym membership: I once heard of a bride-to-be being gifted a six month membership to her dream gym before her wedding. If you’ve heard them talking about wanting to try out a workout class or fitness center, see if they offer a class pass, bundle, or monthly option that you could purchase.

16. State or national park pass: Do they love being outdoors? Gift them with a local, state, or national park pass. I gifted my mom with a national park pass for her birthday last year & it felt like the gift that kept on giving!

My mom loves hiking & lately for holidays I’ve gotten her another hiking-related item.

17. Spa set: Does your bestie love a good bath? Gift them a spa set. I bought my friend one from Primally Pure & she loooved it! You could even snag one of these bath table trays if they don’t have one yet.

18. Wellness experience: Gift them an hour of luxury by buying them a voucher for a massage, facial, sound bath, etc.

19. Airline gift card: If they love to travel, help contribute to their next gift. My boyfriend’s family gifted him a Delta gift card last year & it was such a thoughtful, practical gift (& he actually used it towards going back home for Christmas this year, so it came in handy!).

20. Kindle: We talked about getting one book, but what if you bought them a device where they could read multiple books while reducing clutter?! I love my Kindle!

Sooo many books, so little shelf space!

21. Yearly pass for a mindfulness app (Calm, Insight Timer, Alo Moves, Agape, etc.): Is there a wellness app they’ve been wanting to try? From meditation to exercise to communication questions, there are so many cool memberships to give to a loved one. (B surprised me with the paid version of Agape last year & it helped so much during our LDR era)

High (Or Variable) Ticket

22. Online course: Have they been wanting to learn a skill that they could gain from an online course? There are courses that range anywhere from $12 to $1,200.

23. Bigger wellness experience like a conference or retreat: If you’ve got more money to splurge, you could gift them the entrance to a conference or retreat.

24. Spa day: If you want to level-up the spa set, you could get them a day pass to a spa.

25. Weekend trip: This one can be as pricey or budget-friendly as you want, but you can surprise your loved one with a pre-planned trip! Whether it be a date day in the city or an all-inclusive getaway, I’m sure they will looove the one-on-one time with you.

Traveling with my honey is such a treat!!

You might have grown up hearing “it’s the thought that counts,” but that oftentimes got translated to “they’re lucky I got them a gift at all…”

As someone who has realized that clutter makes me feel slightly anxious & who has also been the awkward receiver of gifts I’ll never use, it is the thought that counts…so please, put some thought into the gifts you purchase (& if you truly don’t know, ask for some help!).

I hope these ideas help–let me know if these sparked any inspo!
